Tinubu renews the mandate of Health Permanent Secretary Daju and two others
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the renewal of the tenure of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Kachallom Shangti Daju. This was in a move consistent with existing public service regulations.
President Tinubu also approved the reappointment of Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba, Attorney General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Justice and Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Regional Development.
The approval, which takes effect April 27, 2026, will establish a second and final four-year term for the officials. The renewal is in line with the provisions of Public Service Rule (PSR) 020909, which allows permanent secretaries an initial four-year term, with eligibility for an additional four-year term, subject to satisfactory performance.
Congratulating the Permanent Secretaries on their reappointment, the Head of the Federation Civil Service, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, urged them to view the renewed mandate as a call for greater dedication and excellence in service delivery.
He further charged them to bring their vast experience and professional expertise in the effective discharge of their duties for the benefit of the nation.
