The Muslim Congress (TMC) invited President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to introduce global measures to cushion the hard effects of the economic reforms of his administration on Nigerian normal, warning that pungent difficulties are pushing many citizens to a deeper vulnerability.
The organization based on faith has also urged the president to intervene urgently in the beer crisis between oil and the natural Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (Pengassan) and the refinery of dance for the union of workers, underlining that the dispute could snow in a national economic crisis if not quickly resolved.
Speaking in Abokuta on Saturday during the 18th annual conference of the organization, held in commemoration of the 65th anniversary of the independence of Nigeria, the Waali of the chapter of the TMC Ogun State, dr. Abdulrazaq Ogunmoye, he said that while the reforms were designed for long -term economic stability, the government must not neglect the liking of vulnerables.
“The difficult situation of the Nigerian municipality, struggling with the increase in the costs of life, requires only politics, but palpable empathy and immediate relief. The strength of a nation derives from the well -being of its citizens,” said Ogunmoye.
On the controversy of Pengassan-Dangote, Ogunmoye warned that allowing the conflict to linger would interrupt the energy sector with “devastating consequences” for the Nigerians.
“We call his excellence respectfully and urgently, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to intervene and help broker for a lasting resolution. Dialogue and justice must prevail,” he appealed.
The group also raised concern about the “Streziante” humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Palestine, where thousands of civilians were killed in the current conflict.
TMC asked for the immediate fire between Israel and Hamas, describing the killings of women and children as “a scar on our collective consciousness”.
The state of Ogun Amir of TMC described the annual lesson as a platform for “renewed commitment in the construction of a nigeria in which justice reigns, prosperity is shared and peace is adamant”.
Keeping a lesson on “The New World Order: local political dynamics, global diplomacy and paths towards true national sovereignty”, Professor Ishaq Akinintola underlined the importance of economic independence through local industries in agriculture, energy and technology.
Represented by Dr. Abdulkareem Nurudeen, the founder of Muric has also urged Nigeria to deepen intra-OIC trade and adopt Islamic finance as alternatives to western banking systems.
He also argued that true sovereignty requires governance alignment with divine guide, justice and self -sufficiency.
“By pursuing intellectual renewal, economic independence, political reform, diplomatic realignment and spiritual awakening, Nigeria can resist manipulation from global powers,” he said.
Another speaker, the Sorce Abdul Hafeez Ariremako, who delivered a document on “Shariah in a pluralistic society: perspectives, challenges and strategies for effective implementation”, complained that ignorance and wrong ideas are the resistance to fuel to the law of Shariah in the south-west.
He urged Muslim and Christian leaders to keep dialogue sessions to explain the socio-economic benefits of Sharia.
Speaking also, the Baba Adini of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta States, ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola, urged the Nigerians to fear God in governance and in everyday life.
The former high commissioner in the United Kingdom advised Muslims to be constructive in their criticisms of the government and to pray for leaders to “do the needy”.
Likewise, a former deputy governor of the State of Ogun, Senator Adgbenga Kaka, asked for correct planning to face the worsening of Nigeria, in particular the bandits and the insurrection. He urged the government to strengthen the police as he accused Muslims to remain good ambassadors of Islam.
Owu Kingdom’s Olowu, Oba (Prof.) Saka Matemilola, represented by Prof. Moruf Adelekan and Hajia Rofiat Olaleye, principal of Alaye High School, Ayetoro, have also delivered messages of good will, encouraging Muslims to be role -playing models in society.
The program also saw the presentation of a N100 million fundraising project for the TMC Ogun State Secretariat proposal.
Premiums have been awarded to remarkable contributors to the growth of Islam, including the secretary general of the Muslim Council of the State of Ogun, Asiwaju Kamaldeen Akintunde and Alhaji Abdulwaheed Shitu. Free medical services were also provided to the participants at the headquarters of the Alake pavilion.
