Tragedy: the police launch investigations into the death for five children in the state of Nasarawa

Agrangu (Core Reporter) report said that the Nasarawa State Police Command has started a large -scale survey on the death of five children who were found lifeless within an abandoned and unusable vehicle in the Agrangu community of the Obi local government area.

A declaration by the Public Relations Manager of the Police, SP Raman Nansel, said: “On May 4, 2025, around 1730 hours, a Mr. Ozimna Ogbor, residing in Agragu, referred to the Agyaragu Divisional, 10 years old). (Female, 10 years old) and Nnaji hair (female, 8 years old) – were discovered that they do not respond inside a vehicle parked in the disused vehicle Complex of a Mr. Abu Agyeme, also residing in Agyaragu.

The declaration continues: “By acting quickly in the report, the police commissioner, the CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, directed the division police officer and his team to proceed immediately to the scene. Upon arrival, the officers found the victims closed due to a content of suspicious children.

Remember that this accident is a painful reminder of a similar tragedy in August 2017, when two children lost their lives in an abandoned vehicle in Keffi.

In the meantime, the police commissioner has ordered an in -depth investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident. He expressed deep pain for loss and extended his heartfelt condolences to mourning families.

He also used the opportunity to warn parents, guardians and vehicle owners to be watch and ensure that children do not have access to parked or abandoned vehicles without supervision.
