The troops of the Operation Hadin Kai eliminated 12 terrorists of the province of West Africa (ISWAP) during a targeted offensive in parts of the States of Borno and Yobe between Friday and Saturday.
A credible source at the Army headquarters revealed it to the Nigerian news agency (NAN) on Saturday in Abuja.
The operation, conducted in combination with local security forces and supported by intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) by the aerial component, eliminated the terrorist enclaves in Tamsu Ngamdu, Dalakaleri and Gaza.
The most significant commitment took place in Loskori Kura, where the troops met insurgents in a heavy battle of weapons.
“Our gallant troops neutralized 12 Iswap terrorists in the meeting.
“This operation reflects a renewed vigor in current anti -terrorism efforts,” said the source.

The troops recovered eight AK-47 rifles, eight full-loaded magazines with 7.62 mm ammunition, as well as assorted drugs and medical supplies used by terrorists.
The source stressed that the result highlighted the commitment of the armed forces in supporting the pressure on the insurgents and the restoration of peace in the north-east.
“The military authorities praise the resilience and determination of the troops and urge the theatrical command to maintain the offensive against all the terrorist elements,” he added.
