Troops neutralize the bandits, recover about 1,000 frustrated catches in Taraba
Taraba (basic reporter) The incessant efforts of the troops under the 6 brigades of the Nigerian army/ sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (Ots), in collaboration with the troops of the Safe Haven operation, have again produced positive results in the current fight against Banditi and crime in Taraba and near states.
A declaration by the deputy director of Interim, Public Relations of the Army, 6 Nigerian Brigata armies, said Captain Olubodunde Oni, acting in credible intelligence, the troops quickly responded to a report of armed bandits mounted on about 30 motorcycles that had crossed the state of the plateau in the state of Taraba. The criminal elements have launched a cattle rustle operation that aims at a Fulani agreement near the village of Jebjeb, in the area of ββthe local government of Karim Lamido (LGA) of the state of Taraba.
The declaration stated: “In a quick and coordinated response, troops of 6 brigades, in collaboration with their counterparts from the Safe Haven operation lined up in the area of ββKampani of Wase Lga, Plateau State, mobilized and projected forces towards the village of Komodo, in the Karim Lamido LGA. βDuring the meeting, the troops neutralized two (2) of the bandits and successfully recovered about a thousand (1,000) cattle frustrated. The recovered cattle was immediately raised safely and transferred to the Jebjeb community to Karim Lamido LGA.
βPlans are currently underway to conduct identification and in -depth verification processes to ensure that the frustrated cattle are returned to their legitimate debt -time owners.
