Troops neutralize two terrorists, recover the weapons in Taraba

The troops of 6 Operation Hiccus (Ots) of 6 brigades of the Nigerian army (Ots) successfully foiled a terrorist and neutralized two terrorists in the state of Taraba. This, in continuation of the operations underway through the state of Taraba, the operation appointed in Code Lafiya Nakowa, aimed to eliminate terrorists and criminal elements within the state.

By acting in credible intelligence, the troops passed to the village of Tor IkyeghGba on 1 October 2025, where it was reported that the bandits were converging. Upon arrival, the troops contacted the terrorists along the Powerline axis and immediately involved them with a higher fire power, with consequent neutralization of two terrorists.

During the operation, the following articles were recovered; 1 gun manufactured locally, 2 damned pistols, 3 shots of special ammunition 7.62 mm, 1 Baofeng radio, 1 motorcycle and other objects.

The commander of the 6 Nigerian army of brigadier, the brigade general Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, praised the troops for their rapid response, resilience and professionalism. He urged the troops to maintain the momentum and ensured to the residents of the state of Taraba that the brigade remains fully committed to guaranteeing peace, safety and security within the state.
