Police operations in Kebbi have saved two kidnapped people without injury in the Ribah District in the Danko/Wasagu/Wasagu Regional Government in the state.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Nafi’u Abubakar, confirmed the news in a statement on Saturday at Birnin Kebbi.
He said the operation was part of an ongoing order attack on bandits and other heinous crimes in the state.

Abubakar said: “On August 15 at around 3:05, while on aggressive patrol around the villages of Dankade in the Ribah District, Danko/Wasagu Lga, the joint team of police, residents and hunters, led by police officers, ribah, held a meeting with bandits.
“During the pistol duel which lasted for hours, one Tukur Bello, ’26’ from the village of Kembawa, Augie Lga from Kebbi and Isyaka Abubakar, ’25’ from Budun Village, Gummi Lga from the state of Zamfara, who was kidnapped on August 9, around 2:00 pm, at this time with cows in the Zamfara Forest.
He added that the victims had been rushed to medical facilities for inspection before a reunion with their family.
