The Minister of Work, David Umahi, on Sunday defended the Bolatinubu President’s Government’s government policy initiative.
He also stated that those who worked to shift the president in 2027 must have failed.
Umahi spoke during the flag from the long-awaited reconstruction of the Abuja-Kano highway, a large 282 kilometer project worth ₦ 777 billion and was expected to be completed in 14 months.
The event, which marked the main infrastructure milestone, also became a platform for Umahi to fight the complicated political that grew from opposition.

Casting opposition as without direction, the minister stated:
“Speaking is cheap when you are not the person doing the job. Opposition must be constructive – offering alternatives, not just criticism. I have not heard one of them proposed a better solution.”
He appointed an increase in the new Nigerian credit ranking with Fitch’s ranking as a sign that Tinubu’s tough economic reform produced fruit. Fitch recently raised the default ranking of Nigerian long-term foreign currencies to ‘B’ from ‘B-‘, which described the country’s views stable. This follows similar support from the World Bank.
“This support is not a coincidence,” Umahi said. “They emphasized that the president’s reform worked. So, who is the opposition that embezzled advice without knowledge? Nigeria works. The worst is over.”
