The Marines of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) defeated the Nysc Lagos team, 3-0 in a friendly match played Wednesday at the University Sports Center.
The meeting that saw a great participation in the stadium lived in expectation since both teams demonstrated tactical exhibition.
However, the host controlled the possessions from the park, launching a wave of attacks that gave the victory.
The visitors began strongly, putting to stop the speed of their attackers hosts, thanks to the firm resistance of their defense.
Despite the goals scored by Eniola Odunayo, Demeji and Michael, the host wasted a couple of opportunities that could have increased the margin of score.
In a conversation with Sportsvibe.com.ng, Unilag Folarin Moses’s marine player described the game as a good test to understand his rhythm as a team.
“It was a good result even though we were supposed to score more than three goals. I think this is an attempt for our coach to fix the team,” he said.
