Very Dark Man slams celebrities who gave financial support to Bobrisky after he was released from prison

Nigerian activist, critic and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM) has slammed celebrities who supported transvestite Bobrisky following his recent release from prison.

Recall that Bobrisky has publicly thanked people including Don Jazzy who sent him money while he was in jail for six months for naira embezzlement and his subsequent release.

On August 25, 2024, the controversial drag queen took to her Instagram page to publicly thank friends, celebrities, and fans for their support while she was in prison.

“Only a few people who know me know that I like to appreciate Favour. There is a popular saying that if you are grateful for the people who are there for you today, you will have others when you need them. God bless you all for standing up for this little boy. God bless you. There are still good people.” Bobrisky wrote on IG.

Responding to the development, Very Dark Man questioned the idea that because Bobrisky is sponsored by celebrities, it is acceptable because “it is their money.”

He said; “In relation to this Bobrisky issue and people donating money, and in relation to my previous video, there was a particular comment I saw where someone said, ‘Is that your money?’

VDM takes this a step further by raising concerns about the potential adverse impacts on society and raising questions about the wider consequences of this sponsorship.

“If we follow that path, this country will not be what it is today. There are some people waiting to use their own money to sponsor the purchase of Igbo, there are people waiting to sponsor the purchase of Hausa and Yoruba in this country. Yes, it is their money, but should we let them?”, he added.
