Video: Kanu directed the supporters to kill Tinubu, burn his hotel in Lagos

The Federal Government, Wednesday, played part of the radio broadcast of Biafra and the videos made by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the prohibited indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), in open court to establish the accusation of favorite terrorism against him.
The transmission and video documents, which were marked as exhibitions, were offered through the second witness of the accusation (PW-2), identified as BBB, in front of judge James Omotosho of the Federal High Court of Abuja.
BBB, who testified behind the screen provided by the Court, said that Kanu admitted that he had sent the transmission and videos while he was led by trial by the lawyer of FG, head adegboyega Awomolo, San.
One of the radio broadcasts made by Kanu on Radio Biafra on October 20, 2020 during the #endsars protest was played in the open field.
In live broadcast, Kanu was heard of young people to attack police officers and soldiers wherever they were found.
The leader of the Ipob, in the transmission, invited the demonstrators to tend to make a security personnel, grab the weapons and kill them.
Kanu, while anchoring a telephone program on Radio Biafra, ordered the calls to kill President Bola Tinubu (who at the time was not Nigerian president) and to burn his hotel in Lagos.
He invited the demonstrators to burn all the structures and vehicles belonging to the federal government, including Murtala Muhammed international airport, Nitel House in Marina and all police stations.
He also ordered the calls to kill Mr. Nyesom Wike, who was then the governor of the state of sparrows, wherever he had been found for alleged betrayal of the Corso del Popolo south and South -East.
In one of the broadcasts, Kanu has placed a generosity of N100 million for the head of Wike, the current minister of the territory of the federal capital (FCT).
He said they would have to chase Wike and kill him for presumably offering a size of N50 million for the head of a Biafran.
In the broadcast, Kanu said that Wike did not deserve to live and that he deserved to die, threatening that this treatment would be visited on any governor who presided over the killings of his people.
The leader of the iPob urged the calls to cause chaos in Lagos so that the whole world knows “these are the 2020 generation”.
During the broadcast, one of his followers called from the east and asked to be assisted by the guns.
In response, Kanu encouraged the caller to enlist in what he called the voluntary strength in which he could help his people from the alleged murders by the “Fulani terrorists” who said they were killing their people in the farms and raping their women.
Kanu, who claimed to have resisted to be corrupt to stop the struggle for the freedom of his people, said he had neither a house of his own nor a car.
According to him, I was born to make sure Biafra is free in our time, including the middle belt.
In the third broadcast, Kanu announced that he was putting N100 million on the head on Wike and encouraged his followers to “break down wike”.
“N100 million for anyone who can break down wike; dead or alive. Wike is n100 million. I will pay in cash. Kidding up wike, I will pay you in cash.
“The generosity about the Wike’s head is n100 million. Take your head, you will get n100 million. Wike offered N50 million for the head of a Biafran,” he said in the broadcast.
In the fourth broadcast he made on May 30, 2021, Kanu declared a “total blockage” in the south -est from 31 May 2021.
He directed that all companies and places of worship should be closed in memory of those he said died in the struggle for Biafra.
“Don’t come out tomorrow (May 31, 2021). If you appreciate your life. I don’t care anyone, you have to stay at home or you will regret it.
“No vehicle should be authorized to move,” he said.
In the fifth transmission, among others he ordered his followers to kill the soldiers, adding that there were pistols in Edo and that these guns should be used to kill the soldiers they meet.
In the sixth registration, Kanu has been shown that he turns to a meeting in the United States during which he urged for guns and ammunition.
When Awomolo asked the witness what Kanu said in the video, BBB said that the accused was urged for the guns to fight the Nigerian state, but that the people who were facing each other were warned him.
In another video reproduced on the field, Kanu was doing what he called a “special broadcast”.
He said: “Biafra lovers, lovers of freedom all over the world wherever you listen to me, I welcome each of you at this special address.
“This is December 12, 2020. The weather is now at 19:00 in the current land of Biafra.
“We have to do everything possible to save ourselves from extinction. We will not give up our land not today, not tomorrow.”
After praying in Ibo language, Kanu said: “As I said, we will announce our preparation to defend the land of Biafra.
“Having waited many years for governors in the south -est and south of the south to do what their counterparts did in Yorubaland and Miyetti Allah in the North.”
He said they were ready to defend their states from “extrajudicial murders sponsored by the state … and we are sending a warning note to all those who are losing the Biafrans blood … each act by the police to kill our people will be resisted.
According to him, for years, our brothers and sisters are unable to go to the farms.
He said that their mothers and their daughters were raped by the invaders called “Fulani terrorists”.
The defendant, who referred to their governors as a coward, said: “This same iPob will not tolerate him.
“The invaders, we are told, are by Chad, Mali, Niger Republic as said by the Governor El-Rufai.”
Kanu said that the Eastern Security Network (ESN) formed would be sent to farms and bushes to fight these invaders such as the security group Amatekun in the West and Miyetti Allah Vigilante Group in the North.
“We are there to defend Biafra’s land against these predes from Sahel.
“What we intend to do is no different from what Amotekun tries to reach in the West and Miyetti Allah is doing in the north
“I urge you to give them maximum collaboration,” he said.
According to him, “our forests and our bushes will be freed from the Fulani killers.
“They managed to divide us, fragments of our people. No governor in the south -est or south of the south is ready to defend our people.
“They will have done the accounts regardless of anyone who supports them if in the army.
“I don’t want to know that no Biafra’s son or daughter was adopted by these Fulani terrorists.
“Our leaders have been compromised and that’s why they are unable to meet to do it,” he added.
He said ESN was not Biafra’s army.
According to him, it is the same as Amotekun and Fulani Vigilante Group.
“When the time for Biafra’s army arrives, we will let you know.
“Self -defense is a constitutional right, self -determination is a right pursuant to the establishment of Nigeria and international law.
“Therefore, I did not apologize in the search for Biafra.
“In 1966, Biafrans were killed in the North, over 300,000. At this moment, if they kill us, we will kill you.
“If you come to our villages to rape our mothers or sisters, you will die in the process.
“We decided to die for what we believe in. We are saying it is enough,” Kanu said in the video.
In another recording, Kanu urged other tribes of the country to learn from the experience of the Hausas, who said that he had been totally subjugated by the Flolais and advised that the invasion of Fulanis should be resisted.
Previously, the witness reported to the Court that Kanu admitted that he had sent the broadcast and videos while his declaration was taken on 17 July 2021.
BBB said he had made the statement from Kanu and that during the year, he played the recordings of the accused’s past transmission, which he made through his radio Biafra, inciting his followers to commit himself to violence and killings
Shortly after the witness identified the copies of the recorded transmission of Kanu, who were saved in two flash units, the Court admits them highlighted, following which they were played in court.
The Court also admitted a letter of complaint, dated June 10, 2021 by the then Prosecutor General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, the general manager of the DSS, who asked for an investigation into the alleged terrorist activities of Kanu and his followers.
In the letter read in court by the witness, the AGF accused Kanu of encouraging the series commission of crimes including murders and destruction of public property
The letter cited some transmissions from Kanu in which he instructed the members of his iPob and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) to attack and kill the safety personnel and the prominent people.
In the letter, Malami affirmed among others that Kanu’s broadcast encouraged his followers to kill the deceased head of the Democratic Party of the peoples (PDP), Ahmed Gulak, among others, and the fire of the house belonging to the governor of the soul, hoped for uzodimma.
After playing the transmission and videos, Awomolo applied to keep a copy of the registration of the writing session of Kanu’s statements, which he did and was admitted in evidence.
Awomolo therefore applied for an update to play the video that is said for about an hour and a half.
Emeka Etiaba, San, who spoke for Kanu, did not objected and the judge Omotosho was updated until May 8 for the continuation of the trial.
