Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okiliola aka Portable has pleaded for forgiveness after he allegedly slapped a pastor who went to preach at his bar.
The street singer was seen in a video slapping a man of God who went to preach at his bar in Sango area, Ogun State, last Monday.
The incident drew criticism from Nigerians, including pastors, some of whom gave Portable an ultimatum to apologize or face their wrath.
In a change of heart, the singer on Monday asked for forgiveness from pastors and Nigerians in general.

Portable said he attacked the pastor because he thought he came to the bar to hurt him spiritually.
He said: “My fans, society’s problems are different from street problems. May God forgive me. I didn’t know he was a truly devout person. If I had known I wouldn’t have slapped him.
“I am also a child of God. I’m human, I’m not perfect. I’m an orphan. They have hurt my sister through the same strategy.”
