We are taking a step forward in the rural road infrastructures – Gov. Buni

The Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State highlighted the significant steps made by his administration in connecting rural areas with road infrastructures aimed at improving agricultural productivity and commercial activities.

Speaking at the Town Hall Stakeholder forum that was held on Friday to celebrate the results of his administration, Buni expressed the commitment of his government in improving connectivity throughout the state.

The forum that was organized by the Office of the Governor’s special consultant on television, radio and digital media, Dr. Ibrahim Yabani, brought journalists, civil society organizations from all 17 areas of the local government of the State.

Buni said that his government recognizes that road infrastructures are fundamental for increasing agricultural productivity and facilitating commercial operations in rural areas.

Responding to the questions of the participants in the forum, Buni said that the vast road network not only reduces transport costs, but also improves the general economy of the region making it easier for farmers to bring their products to the market.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to promote an environment favorable to growth, innovation and sustainable development.

The event highlighted key goals in sectors such as education, health care, agriculture, safety, the empowerment of young people and infrastructures.
