‘We have now taken the river structure from Wike control’ —Pdp Claims

Acting Chairperson of the Rivers of the Democratic Party (PDP), Robinson Nname-World, has boasted that the party has succeeded in gaining control over the State structure which until now is under the control of former Governor and Minister of Federal Capital (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Nname-ENGOR who filed a claim during the interview on Arise TV on Monday night, said the long and control of Wike and control over PDP in the state now became something from the past because the party has now taken full control.

Describe the influence of the former governor who impressed the party structure and control as “many years of taking political hostages,” Nname-Ewor said the party had been able to end the years.

“Before now, Wike took the party hostage at the state level. National said he did not conduct a congress; he went forward to do them. But today, we have surpassed that,” Nname-Ewor said.

“Today’s party at the state level is no longer in his hands. Therefore, there is nothing they can do as far as the party in the river.”

Nname-Jewor, who also talked about the political crisis between the Governor deferred by Siminaayi Fubara and Wike, said the situation increased when Fubara decided to become his own person by opposing sustainable political control by the former governor.

“Wike believes loyalty must be absolute. But the resources he uses to support candidates, including Fubara and members of the state parliament, not their – they are the state resources of the Rivers. So the first loyalty must be to the people.

“Once people, people realize that Fubara is no longer a Wike doll, they have it. And that is what changes everything.

“The crisis that you see in the river and in the PDP is not because the party is damaged. That’s because one person, the Minister of FCT, is determined to destroy it. Release him, and you will not see a single crisis – both in the river and national,” he said.

The PDP chief also accused Wike of working against the party from within while aligning with all the Progressive Congress (APC), accusing that the influence of Wike was more destructive than profitable.

“For us in Rivers, Wike is no longer a member of PDP. He is only here to destroy PDP and opposition. And unfortunately, he is assisted by presidence.

“Today’s wike is in PDP because he is on a mission to destroy opposition in the country, not only in the state of Rivers.

“And the president helped him. The president funded Wike to destroy the opposition. That was the irony.

“How do you suggest a party that you no longer follow? How do you tell people that you are busy attacking? Wike has openly promised to support APC in 2027. His role is now not one of the leadership but sabotage.

“This is a new start for PDP in Rivers. We take back our party, and we will protect it,” Nname-Ewor insisted.
