The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, on Thursday, said he had made the decision of the eleventh hour to suspend all the activities relating to the next Eid El-Fitri Sallah celebrations to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.

By addressing the people of Kano on the controversy generated by the previous decision taken by Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi 11, to conduct similar activities, Bayero said he respects the wise adviser to some venerated elderly people in Kano who advised him to put on all planned activities pending.

He said that traveling the blood of innocent people in the name of the party of Sallah would be a bad omen for the long peace enjoyed in the state.

Ado Bayero added that it would not have been naive to ignore the wise advice and the advice of respected opinion leaders, while underlining that the hairstyle of the decision was mainly born from the desire to safeguard the holiness of human life at a time when the search for peace and harmony has become imperative.

However, he said that he would be absolutely counterproductive for those who always have the authority to pay the labial service in search of peace at any time, stating that allowing peace to prevail in Kano was the way out of any unpleasant circumstance.

He invited his followers to show the same balance between maturity and understanding considering the intricate nature of the prevailing situation and underlined the need for them to embrace peace as a way to make Kano a bastion of respect, reverence and credibility.
