Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro says his team is fully focused on their upcoming quarter-final clash against Angola.
Following their victory against Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 match at Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny, the Super Eagles resumed preparations, after a day’s break, in a recovery session on Monday.
After the training, Peseiro expressed his optimism about the team’s readiness for the match.
“We are looking forward to the game against Angola. Everyone has rested well after the game against Cameroon.”
He further added, “We have a few days left before the game, so we will be ready. We will prepare very well and I’m optimistic we will get a good result.”
Peseiro also reiterated the team’s target remains unchanged, and they are taking it game by game as they progress in the tournament.
Meanwhile, injured goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali as well as Victor Osimhen and William Troost-Ekong did not take part in the team’s practice session.
