The agents of the Nigerian police forces arrested two high profile fugitives desired by the international authorities for the section of human beings and the armed robbery.
The suspicions, Felix Homoregie, also known as Eghosa Johnson Homoregie, and Okwudili Sabastine Ezeje, were arrested in separate operations coordinated by force in collaboration with the international law enforcement agencies.
Homoregie, identified as the leader of a transnational union on the section of human beings, was declared sought after by the Belgian authorities through an Interpol red notice issued on December 19, 2023. He was arrested in Benin City, in the state of Edo, following a secret intelligence led operation.
Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a declaration on Wednesday, revealed that Homoregie specializes in the section of young Nigerian women, including minors, in Italy and throughout Europe for sexual exploitation.
According to the declaration, the victims were subjected to psychological and voodoo rituals and forced to use them through buildings ranging from € 20,000 to € 50,000.
The police said that Homoregie managed a vast criminal network with the managers based in Brussels and France, who managed the victims and put the proceeds back.
“Homoregie had been condemned to Assentia in Belgium in 2021 for multiple counties of trafficking in aggravated human beings and leadership of the criminal organization before fleeing to Nigeria,” says the note.
A research conducted during his arrest discovered incriminating materials, including a photocopy of a passport presumably intended for the transfer to Canada.
It is expected to be accused at the Benin City High Court.
In a related development, the Interpol National Central Bureau (NCB), Abuja, arrested the 37 -year -old Okwudili Sabastine Ezeje in a hiding place in Nsukka, in the state of Enugu.
Ezeje is sought by the authorities of the United Arab Emirates (United Arab Emirates) for its role in a series of armed robberies, violence linked to worship, drug trafficking and other organized crimes.
The investigations revealed that the suspicion continued to direct criminal operations in Dubai and Sharjah while hiding in Nigeria. Remarkable accidents connected to him include armed attacks in a grocery store in the Dubai Mall, the exchange of Al Ansari in Jumeirah and a Bureau de Change to Jebel Ali Village.
His arrest was facilitated by the sharing of the intelligence between the Nigerian police, the office of the National Security Councilor (ONSA) and the Dubai police. Will be accused of the conclusion of the investigations.
The police inspector General, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the agents for their professionalism and commitment to the global obligations of the law enforcement agencies of Nigeria.
