While a campaign for a second mandate as a governor of the state of sparrows in December 2018, Nyesom Wike was poisoned through the things he ate in the secretariat of his Democratic Party (PDP) in the capital, Port Harcourt.

The only opportunity came when we traveled to Port Harcourt in what should have been the crowning as national president of the PDP Jimi Agbaje, my boss and the twice nominated for the governor of the PDP for the state of Lagos (I was director of the media and advertising of Agbaje). The PDP is said to have granted the presidency to Yoruba South-West, Wike, his presence and the formidably strong financier, it was said that he was cheering (together with the leaders of the North Party) for Agbaje. With other assistants and supporters, I accompanied Agbaje on that trip.
However, Wike and his group were irritated by the lack of consent of Yoruba Pdp Chieftains. Some legal issues have also appeared on injunctions of the court or anything else. Instead of electing the National President in May 2016, the National Manager dissolved and chose the PDP a committee of interim custodian directed by the former governor of Katsina State Ahmed Makarfi. If Agbaje had won, the welcome of the victory would have opened my doors to consult the Niger-Delta giant. But Agbaje did not win. So I’ve never met Wike.
However, he financed the entire Harcourt deal of Port. One thing hit most of the people on that journey to the failed national convention. Wike loved and served the PDP passionately with all his power, all his heart and all his soul; And he would not have spared anything to see his sustenance, success and progress.
Unlike the caliber of Atiku Abubakar, Bukola Saraki, Kalu Orji Kalu, Obasgun Obasanjo, Rotimi Amaechi, Nasir El-Roma and others too numerous to be mentioned, Wike has never left the PDP or the flavor of another party.
Today, even after assisting the rival all progressive Congress, the president of the EPC Bola Ahmed Tinubu in power at the federal level, this lawyer and husband of a judge of the Court of Appeal remain a main and unwavering PDP figure. And this can only be like this. At PDP, Wike owes a lot.
According to the party, Wike won two terms as president of the local government area of Obbor Akpor (from 1999 to 2007) before being appointed head of the staff of the governor Rotimi Amaechi (from 2007 to 2011). Under Goodluck Jonathan, the lawyer became Minister of State for Education (from 2011 to 2014). Wike was the Minister of Education (from September 2013 to April 2014) when he left the ministry to contest and become governor of the rivers.
Amply recognized as a performing governor, Wike also became the voice of the opposition. He dragged the federal government to court for VAT procedures. This too did not stop the president of the EPC Muhammadu Buhari who made him a prize for merit for having transformed sparrows in a virtual construction site, a company that earned him the sobriquet “Mr. Projects”.
Size Wike with a knife and is the PDP that will translate from his vein. In fact, this explains why Tinubu cannot play with him. Because, of all inside the Tinubu cabinet, Wike could be the only one able to sing Jagaban’s themed song with the most true meaning.

Unfortunately, like Atiku Abubakar, they all said “In hell with Wike”. If to tell the truth, ATIKU managed badly Wike to the 2023 poll.
Thanks to power in dollars and other factors, ATIKU paved wikes and all the set -ups in the primaries of the PDP (371 votes at 237 of Wike). But to call a spade a spade, after Buhari spent eight years (from 2015 to 2023), the North had no business with presidential power by 2023. But Atiku entered those elections for his personal ambitions rather than national reasons.
The former customs officer transformed into businessman, the politician has chased the presidency since 1993 – Six Times in reality: 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019 and 2023. In this Republic, he jumped inside and outside and in PDP to satisfy his research. All attempts hit the rocks.
For Atiku, son of Abubakar, the eyes remain on the ball and has no scruples that reaches him through any platform. Having been neutralized in PDP by his foreign boss, the president Olusgun Obasanjo, who supported the patient Umar Yar’adua, Atiku jumped out of the party and landed at the Congress of the action as the presidential candidate of the rival party for the 2007 elections.
He returned to the PDP during the 2011 presidential elections and lost against the president in office Goodluck Jonathan.
In 2014, he joined the APC but lost the 2015 presidential primary to Muhammadu Buhari. Atiku returned to the PDP and won his ticket for the 2019 and 2023 presidential elections, both lost against Bohari.
Let’s see how Atiku managed bad Wike in 2023 and ended up shooting himself on the foot. Having won the primaries of the PDP, the former VP put together a team of parties for parties to select his racing partner.
Buhari’s years had made APC an anathema to the critical mass of the Nigerians with its debilitating economic policies and an insecurity led by the abundance of pan-child’s spine of the retreat. So the establishment of the PDP has entered into. Unfortunately, Atiku and the national president Iyorchia Ayu (a North like Atiku) refused to yield.
For my acquaintances of the PDP, I recommended once again: “Di ‘Atiku to sacrifice Ayu. Wike is not only to present this request, but five governors. Atiku can play with five governors? Where will the votes from Atiku lose five governors?”
His supporters have me
The presidential elections held and the inevitable occurred. Atiku kissed the dust in those five states. Don’t make mistakes. Millions of Wikes abound in PDP -Diehards, believers, devotees, fanatics, who believe in the brand and would not exchange it for the whole world. This is the only party that survived by the three originals recorded for the fourth republic in 1998. Like the true believers, these londists of the PDP await the reincarnation of the PDP and the second time in federal power.
To make that dream happen, the PDP needs this wike. Wike found the poison for the poison that his enemies have nourished him that fateful day of December 2018. If the PDP heals from the poisons that have made him in a coma since 2015, the party must try wikes for antidote.
