YSU Adjusted Second Semester Academic Calendar 2023/2024

Yobe State University (YSU), wishes is to notify all the students and staffs of the management has released the adjusted Academic calendar for the second semester 2023/2024 session. The extension aims to provide ample time for lecturers to cover lectures and administer continuous assessments.

The managements of the Yobe State University (YSU), has brought to the notice of the students and staffs of the institution that they will be two-week extension for Level one and two examinations for the 2023/2024 academic session. The extension is aimed at giving lecturers ample time to cover their lectures and administer continuous assessment tests. This decision has led to adjustments in the academic calendar as detailed below.

In light of the adjustments, students and faculty members are encouraged to review the revised calendar for a smooth and successful academic experience.

The second semester is scheduled to resume on 24th June, 2024. Second Semester examinations will commence on 2nd September, 2024.

YSU Academic Calendar

Second Semester:

ETTC Meeting & Approval of Timetable: 1 day on 27th May 2024.

Commencement and Ending of Lectures: 14 weeks from 27th May 2024 to 31st August 2024.

Second Semester Examination: 4 weeks from 2nd September 2024 to 21st September 2024.

Marking Period: 3 weeks from 23rd September 2024 to 12th October 2024.

External Examination/Moderation and Consideration of Results at Departmental, GST, College/Faculty and Senate Levels: 5 weeks from 14th October 2024 to 16th November 2024.
