2,000 candidates move for 350 employees approved at Full – Thage

No less than 2,000 candidates are going for 350 occupations approved at Federal University, Lokoja

Deputy Chancellor of the University, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi who revealed him while he spoke with Lokoja journalists on Thursday, said that the use approved by the Federal Government is for the allocation of 2024.

He revealed that the opportunity for the employment of 350 people is divided into academic and non -academic positions of which a recruitment interview is underway

Professor Akinwumi told journalists that the process started two years ago before the final authorization granted the establishment of employing.

According to him, the allocation approved for academic staff includes 45 professors, 14 readers or interim professors and 60 senior teachers and few other graduate assistants.

The VC revealed that the Federal Government also granted permission to the University of employing 89 non -academic, as well as a health director and eight members of the medical staff

He promised a level of play for all the candidates who took part in the ongoing recruitment interview.

“We gave space to the open door in the interview conduct and working strictly with the guidelines and rules established by the Federal Government,” said Professor Akinwumi.

The VC also declared to journalists that the University currently has 12 faculties and has established new courses such as medicine, nursing sciences, pharmacy, law, agriculture and engineering programs among others.
