2027: Atiku started the initial campaign, trying to pull the sound -west

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has assured that the interests of Joruba will remain the center of his government policy if elected president in 2027.

Atiku, a candidate for the people of the Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 and runner-up election to the President of the Tinubu Bola, rejected the claim that his leadership could cause the dominance of the Hausa/Fulani for Joruba or other ethnic groups.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by his median consultant, Kola Johnson, a former vice president, described such a baseless fear, quoting his marriage and personal bond with southwest.

“All of Yoruba’s stock is a big family and my bigger in -laws,” said Atiku. “I counted myself very fortunate to have a wife from the aristocratic species of this humanity. This implies that the bonds that unite me with Joruba like a family genetic bond. This is why Joruba, both individually and collectively, always occupy a special place in my heart.”

Atiku remembered that his first marriage in the 1970s was with Titi, a Joruba woman born in Ijesha with whom he shared four children. “If you don’t know or forget, I married my first wife, Titi, a Yoruba woman, in the 70s, and we had four Yoruba children together. She is now more than 75 years old, and we are still together,” he said.

He further described it as “an inevitable value of values,” adding that his children with love calling him Baba Rere (a good father). According to him, this ties underlined the old bond with Joruba, outside politics.

The former vice president also highlighted his long -standing reputation as a disconnected Nigerian, saying: “Even before I wandered to politics, I flowed easily with people from various tribes, ethnicities, and religions. Joruba has always been a friend and political allies closest to me.”

Atiku promised that, if elected, southwest will be in the heart of making policies. “For this reason, Jorubas’s interest will always occupy the top place in making my policies and government if, with God’s specific grace, I am fortunate to be president in 2027,” he said.

Atiku, a competitor of President Abadi, is expected to once again challenge President Tinubu in the 2027 General Election.
