2027: Benue Nass APC Caucus approves President Tinubu

Abuja (basic reporter) Caucus National Assembus of the All Progressi (APC) has unequivocally approved President Bola Tinubu as the only presidential candidate for the next presidential elections of 2027.

Caucus made it known during a press conference to formally support his excellence, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for a second term in office, Wednesday in Abuja.

Likewise, Caucus asked for a synergy between the federal government and the state government of Benue in facing the security challenges in the state

Speaking on behalf of the members of the Benue Nass APC Caucus, the president, the senator (Dr.) Titus Zam said that the approval has been fully established in the complete evaluation of the performance of President Tinubu and his style of transformative leadership.

“We, the members signed by the National Assembly of All Progressives Congress (APC) by the State of Benue – including two out of three and ten senators on eleven members of the House of Representatives.

“Our approval is rooted in a complete assessment of the transformative leadership of President Tinubu, of its unshakable commitment for national development and tangible results recorded under its administration since 29 May 2023,” he said.

According to Senator Zam, under the guidance of President Tinubu, Benue State witnessed an unprecedented infrastructure development, significantly improving connectivity and economic activities.

Highlighting the remarkable infrastructure development of Mr. President in the State, said the legislator:

“Calabar-Ebonyi-Bue-Nasarawa -abuja SuperHighway-Construction began on this exceeds 465 kilometers, improving connectivity and economic activities in all states involved.

“Makurdi-Aliad-Otukpo-engugu-Son the reconstruction efforts on this critical path are underway, including the addition of a overpass in the Wurukum roundabout in Makurdi, with the aim of improving the efficiency of transport.

“Buruku Bridge on the Katsina-Ala river: approved for a cost of ₦ 83.8 billion, this double bridge project will extend 1.7 kilometers, facilitating better movements and trade in the region.

“Street of the 9th Mile-Otukpo-Makurdi-Dualization of this strategic project aims to reduce travel times and improve connectivity between Enugu, Makurdi, Abuja and northern Nigeria.

“Oju-Cross River Federal Road-one of the most facilitated impactive interventions under the Tinubu administration is the rehabilitation during the federal road of the Oju-Cross-a long-neglected but economically vital route that connects Benue to the South-South region”.

According to him, these projects not only stimulate economic activities, but also create job opportunities for the Nigerians.

In the areas of housing and social assistance initiatives, Senator Zam stressed: “The administration of President Tinubu has shown a profound commitment to facing housing deficits and the improvement of social well -being:

“The construction of 250 housing units at affordable prices in Benue’s state in the renewed program of housing ownership of Speranza aims to provide decent accommodation to our citizens.

“The approval of 1,000 housing units in the state of Benue as part of the Pulaku initiative reflects a strategic approach for the resolution of conflicts and the rehabilitation of the displaced people.

“These initiatives are fundamental in promoting social cohesion and improving the quality of life for our people”.

The legislator said that the economic policies of President Tinubu have significantly benefited Benue’s state in various areas, including “the assignment of ₦ 44 billion ₦ to Benue State, which includes ₦ 5 billion billion after the subsidy for removing the removal funds, ₦ 9 billion of infrastructure infrastructure”.

He added that the administration’s tax reforms led to a doubling of the government’s revenue, reaching over 9.1 trillion trillion in the first half of 2024, thus improving the ability of the federal government to support the initiatives at state level, noting that these financial interventions have been instrumental to guide economic growth and development within the state.

The senator said that the significant progress of President Tinubu had improved regional development, health care and education in Benue’s state.

He highlighted the regional developments in the state to include: “North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (Fuhso), Federal University of Health Sciences Hospital, Otukpo, Control of Infectious Diseases in Vandeikya and the Federal College of Agricultural Technology in Opialu Ojapo.

He said that these developments are essential to improve the well -being and intellectual capital of our citizens.

The senator also spoke widely of the impacts of President Tinubu in agricultural and economic development and in the commitment to national security and stability,

“In light of the above results, we, the Caucus of the APC National Assembly of Benue, we reiterate our constant support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We are confident that his visionary leadership will continue to push Nigeria towards greater prosperity.

“We invoke all the Nigerians, in particular the people of the state of Benue, to join us in approaching the president Tinubu for a second term. We unite our hands with this administration and collectively work towards a safer, prosperous and united Nigeria,” he said.

In the need of the concerted efforts of the government of the State of FG and Benue to face insecurity, Caucus states: “We use this privilege and the platform to ask the government of the state Benue, to ensure that its urgency increased its efforts for the use of resources available in safeguarding people in collaboration with the Federal Government.

“The security staff published in Benue’s state needs the support of the federal government and the state government.

“As we know, it takes two tangles; President Tinubu has unfolded forces and resources to the state government, the state must do more in this sense in order to obtain the required results”.
