2027: Ogun Indigens in Diaspora Canvasses Support for the best candidate for the Governorate

A group of Ogun State Indigenies in the Diaspora has issued a strong appeal to the interested parties and political citizens to gather behind the most competent and morally right candidate in the next government elections of 2027, regardless of political affiliation.

In a declaration entitled “a request for collective support towards the best candidate for the Governor of the State of Ogun in 2027”, signed by important children of the State, the group underlined the need for a departure from policy led by feeling, section or loyalty of the party.

The statement, jointly signed by Akogun Deji Taiwo (Ogun Central), the Solo Prince Olabode (Ogun West) and the lawyer Kayode Sunmola, the FCA (Ogun East), stressed that the future of the state depends on the emergency of a visionary leader with integrity, experience and a strong commitment to understand the government.

“Ogun’s state is blessed with immense potential: full of human capitals, culture and resources. However, the fulfillment of that potential depends significantly on the quality of the leadership at the helm”, reads the declaration.

The group, under the “Ogun State Indigenies banner in the diaspora”, invited political actors through the party lines to avoid violence and act as gatekeeper responsible for democracy by supporting credible and capable candidates.

They urged the people of the state of Ogun to unite in patriotism and the common good, warning that the story would not be kind to those who cannot act conscientiously at this critical moment.

“Let’s make a collective decision that gives priority to progress, peace and prosperity for all citizens of the state of Ogun,” added the declaration.

The press release was issued by Knightale, in the North Carolina, in the United States, where the group is based, with contact details provided for further commitment.

The elections of the Governorate of 2027 in the state of Ogun are already generating an early interest in political circles and observers believe that the role of the rumors of the diaspora can play a significant role in modeling the political narrative that leads to the polls.
