Members of the Accord Party in Osun State on Wednesday declared their support for Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.
The members, who spoke at a rally held in Osogbo, said they were confident in Olawepo-Hashim’s capacity to lead the party to victory.
Speaking at the rally, the spokesperson for the Accord Party in the state, Daniel Adedayo, said the meeting was called to officially declare support for Olawepo-Hashim.
Adedayo described him as a leader with the vision and experience needed to move the country forward.

He added that party members would support the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15 gubernatorial election and support Olawepo-Hashim for president in 2027.
“Our meeting here today is to declare our support for Olawepo-Hashim as the party’s presidential candidate.
“He is the figure the public has been waiting for, and we are ready to support him to achieve his dreams.
“We will vote for Adeleke in the August 15 gubernatorial election, but Olawepo-Hashim is our presidential candidate,” he said.
Also speaking, the woman leader of the party, Alhaja Rukayat Olanrewaju, said the rally was held in solidarity with Olawepo-Hashim.
Olanrewaju said Olawepo-Hashim’s emergence reflects confidence in his leadership and his vision for a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.
He reiterated that party members would vote overwhelmingly for Adeleke’s re-election, while supporting Olawepo-Hashim in the presidential race.
The national leadership of the Accord Party had some days ago distanced itself from the primaries that produced Olawepo-Hashim as the party’s presidential candidate for next year’s elections.
