2027: Tumsah chooses APC governorship nomination form for Yobe

Kashim Musa Tumsah has officially cleared his nomination form to run for governorship under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State.

The move confirms his entry into the race ahead of the party’s upcoming primary elections.

In a statement released on Friday after collecting the form at the party secretariat, Tumsah, an international oil lawyer and development advocate, called for transparency and unity within the APC.

He urged his supporters to remain peaceful and law-abiding.

Reacting to a signal of support from an aspiring rival, Tumsah expressed concern about the lack of wider consultation and consensus.

He stressed that inclusion and due process are critical to fairness and party unity.

He also appealed to the APC national leadership in Abuja to remain neutral and vigilant during the primaries.

He warned that any manipulation could damage the party’s credibility.

Tumsah also called on APC members in Yobe to remain vigilant and protect the integrity of the elections, stressing that the collective interest of the party must come before individual ambitions.
