2027: Wike-backed PDP releases election schedule, pegs presidential form at N51 million

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike-backed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released the timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections.

The party, in a schedule released on Wednesday in Abuja by its National Organizing Secretary, Umar Bature, pegged the total cost of the presidential expression of interest and nomination form at N51 million.

It pegged the cost of nomination forms for the governorship at N31 million, the Senate and House of Representatives at N7 million and N4 million respectively.

The State House of Assembly form is available at N3 million.

Female candidates are only expected to pay an expression of interest form, which is set at N1 million for each position.

According to the schedule, form sales for all positions will start on April 27 and end on May 4, while the last day for submission is May 9.

Additionally, the presidential primary will take place May 17 to May 18, the gubernatorial election, May 27; DPR, May 21; Senate, May 23 and House of Assembly, May 25.

The hearing for all appeals will be held on May 30.
