6 days from the end: Gateway Games 2024 – A celebration beyond sport

Abuja (basic reporter) with only six remaining days, the excitement continues to build throughout Nigeria while the Ogun state is preparing to host the 22nd National Sports Festival (NSF), also known as Gateway Games 2024
The Festival will present 33 sports, attracting participation from all 36 states of the Federation, including FCT, and has invited Junior athletes, with over 10,000 athletes who should compete. He promises to be one of the greatest gatherings of sports talents in the history of the event.
A cultural showcase like no one else
The state of Ogun, deeply rooted in heritage and tradition, is destined to offer a powerful demonstration of Nigerian culture. From vibrant shows during the opening and closing ceremonies to daily exhibitions of art, dance and indigenous crafts, the festival will celebrate the diversity that defines the nation. Visitors and participants will have the opportunity to interact with local customs and cultural expressions of all regions of Nigeria.
An economic catalyst for the state of Ogun
The festival is already stimulating economic activity throughout the state. Thousands of athletes, officials and spectators will inject new energy in the economy of Ogun, for the benefit of local companies, hospitality providers, transport services and informal traders. From hotels to markets, the influx of guests should significantly increase revenue and promote tourism in the host communities.

In addition to the momentum is the recent appointment of the winner of the Cup of the Africa Nations (AFCON) of 1980, the head of the Segun Odegbami, as Ambassadore of the State of Ogun. A legendary figure in the Nigerian sports, the inheritance, leadership and defense of the head Odegbami for the development of young people reflect the values that the Festival aims to promote.
Just six days from the end, the 22nd National Sports Festival promises to be a reference event for Nigerian sports, culture and culture.
