61-year-old man electrocuted during rain in Lagos

A 61-year-old man who has not been identified died after being electrocuted during the rain in Lagos.

State police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the news in a post on his X account on Thursday.

He said the incident occurred during heavy rain in the Orile-Iganmu area of ​​the state on Wednesday.

The spokesman said: “During yesterday’s rain in Orile-Iganmu, a 61-year-old man while wading through floodwaters, held on to a street light pole and was electrocuted.”

He appealed to the public to always maintain safety.
