Notorious bandit kingpin, Kachallah Bello Turji, has accused the Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle, of sponsoring terrorism in the Northwest.
Turji, who made the strong accusation in a video circulating on social media, said Matawalle had been involved in supporting and abetting terrorism in the Northwest even while serving as governor of Zamfara State.
In a video posted on X by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert and Security analyst in the Lake Chad region on Sunday, Turji who had previously accused Matawalle of being behind some notorious banditry in the past, said if Matawalle denies the allegations, he will produce evidence that will prove his allegations.

Turji’s allegations come on the heels of previous allegations he made against Matawalle which the Minister’s office has denied.
In his post, Zagazola said:
“Breaking News: Terrorist Kingpin Kachallah Bello Turji, says he stands by his words, accusing former Zamfara State Governor and current Defense Minister, Alhaji Bello Matawalen Maradun, of supporting terrorism in the North West.
“The minister had previously denied the allegations through his media consultant, Deyemi Saka, but Bello Turji insisted that what he said was true.”
