Not for sale: Another Ligue 1 side tells Marseille to move on from Super Eagles star after reported interest

The future of Nigerian international winger Moses Simon is not in doubt despite French side Marseille’s interest in signing him from Nantes, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Simon, who has returned to full fitness and has already made a strong start with one goal and one assist in three games, is said to be a target for new Marseille coach Roberto De Zerbi.

Nantes narrowly escaped relegation last season as Simon missed the final two months of the season after suffering an ankle injury while on duty with Nigeria’s senior team.

The club are keen to avoid another similar relegation scrap next season and have made it categorically clear that Simon is key to their ambition and is not available for a transfer.

For now, their focus is on strengthening certain areas and not letting any of their key players go, and coach Antoine Kambouare is said to have demanded an improvement in the squad.

Simon extended his contract with the club last season and is believed to have decided to stay despite having so many options to choose from, as he would have been a free agent at the end of last season.
