Lonestar Cell MTN, BnB launch International Financial Service.

Liberia’s premier GSM Company,   Lonestar Cell MTN, and Best Neo Bank (BnB) are partnering to provide International Financial transfer services.

Monrovia, Liberia, August 2, 2024 –Leading Liberian GSA Company Lonestar Cell MTN, in partnership with Best Neo Bank (BnB), has officially launched an International Financial transfer service here.

The MTN and BnB, Financial Service partnership, enables Liberians to transfer money from and to Liberia and over eight West African countries. 

Participants from both institutions, members of the business community, and Liberian influencers graced the launch ceremony. 

Providing a PowerPoint presentation on the project’s workability, Mr. Manju Konneh, Manager for Products and Services at Lonestar Cell MTN, said that for now, the service covers Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Uganda, Rwanda, Senegal, and Mali. 

Accordingly, he added that Liberians can now send money to these countries via Lonestar Cell MTN MoMo by dialing *156*1# and clicking number three, which suggests international transactions. 

Mr. Konneh explained that customers can select the countries within international transactions and make payments without any fee within three months. 

“This partnership will help customers send money in either United States dollars or Liberian dollars. The amount of transactions per day is US$250. This is more convenient and allows customers to transact with their phone and avoid standing in long lines at Banks and other financial institutions”, he noted. 

Making special remark, Best Neo Bank (BnB) Managing Director, Mr. David Ojo, expressed excitement and appreciation for the partnership financial agreement. 

According to him, celebrating the launch of this groundbreaking International Financial transfer service in partnership with Lonestar Cell MTN marks a historic milestone in the journey to revolutionizing financial services and empowering communities across Africa.
