Nigerian women’s champions Edo Queens continued their fine run of form in the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers with a resounding 3-0 win over Ghana’s Hassacas Ladies in Bouake on Wednesday evening.


The first half ended in a draw, with both teams unable to capitalise on several opportunities.

However, Edo Queens came alive in the second half and took control of the match with two quickfire goals from Esther Moses and Emem Essien.

Captain Suliat Abideen sealed the victory with a third goal, consolidating the Benin City club’s dominance.

This victory follows their emphatic 5-0 win over Niger’s AS Garde Nationale in their opening match.

Moses Adukwu’s side will now face Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle in their final group game on Saturday.
