The Federal Government has approved an upward review of the country’s passport procurement costs.
Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) spokesperson, KT Udo, announced the new passport fees in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
Under the new pricing regime, a 32-page passport will cost N50,000 while a 64-page passport book will cost N100,000.
Udo said the federal government approved the upward review as part of efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport.

“However, costs remain unchanged in the Diaspora.”
NIS expressed regret for any inconvenience the increase may cause to prospective applicants, but assured Nigerians of its unwavering commitment to transparency and quality service delivery at all times.
