Police arrest woman with anti-aircraft ammunition in Nasarawa

Police officers in Nasarawa have arrested a woman in possession of anti-aircraft ammunition in Keffi local government area of ​​the state.

State police spokesman Ramhan Nansel disclosed this to journalists on Saturday in Lafia.

He said police officers from the Keffi Division arrested the suspect on Friday after receiving reliable information from the public.

Nansel added that the suspect, who hails from Doro village in Katsina, was intercepted with a two-year-old baby.

He said: β€œAs a result, 124 rounds of anti-aircraft ammunition hidden in a gallon of palm oil, one Tecno mobile phone and N78,500 were recovered from the suspect as exhibits.

β€œPreliminary findings revealed that the suspect received the supply of ammunition at Rafin Sanyi Village, Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

β€œHe hid the items in a gallon of palm oil on his way to Katsina State before his arch enemies caught him.”

The spokesman said the state Commissioner of Police, Umar Nadada, had ordered the transfer of the suspects and exhibits to the Police Intelligence Department, Police Headquarters in Abuja for further investigation.
