Brakence: ready or not

American hyperpop musician Brakence is back with the new single “ready or noT”. This is his first new song since his debut album Hypochondriac in 2022. The single is accompanied by a beautiful video, directed by fellow artist Quadeca.

Brakence has made his career out of glitchy, groundbreaking music, so it seems fitting to bring this return back. The visual side lives up to the mark with the video apparently including puppeteers and special sets. Fans of his previous work will find the same restless drive.

The production is loud and chaotic. It sounds like a tension based record.

All in all, “Ready or Not” feels like a noisy, glitchy return for Brakence. He’s messy, he’s brazen, he doesn’t sit still.
