Akwa Ibom Police Commissioner Waheed Ayilara passes away.

According to reports, Ayilara died in the early hours of Thursday at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.

A family source revealed that he underwent surgery for prostate cancer on Wednesday before he died hours later.

“We are deeply saddened to announce that our friend, brother and family member, the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner of Police, Waheed Ayilara has passed away,” the family member said.
