Chidimma Adetshina responds to criticism over her Miss Universe Nigeria win

Rising beauty pageant star Chidinma Adetshina has responded forcefully to the criticism surrounding her recent crowning as Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.

The tall beauty queen reacted to the criticism in a recent interview with Arise TV emphasizing that her win was the result of her persistence and hard work, not sympathy or pity.

He said; “A lot of people think this win is sad. I don’t think so. Coming from South Africa, I worked really hard. We spent about 10 weeks camping, doing the whole trip.

“There may be a little bit of a difference compared to other contestants, but if you look at the journey we’ve been on, I feel like I’ve had the same experience as other contestants.”

Chidinma Adetshina also denied stealing anyone’s identity as recently alleged by the South African government and also stated that he would not comment on the matter until all the details were known.

She noted that she was not avoiding the allegations but was instead concentrating on her goals, explaining that she left the Miss South Africa pageant to pursue her desire to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria pageant.

“I didn’t steal anyone’s identity. I just waited for the conclusion of the case and the whole thing. Then, going forward I’ll know exactly what to say because I feel like now if I say one thing and something else comes up tomorrow. I just avoid having those two things contradict each other.

“I’m avoiding those questions because it’s a legal matter and I don’t have all the facts on the matter, but what I can say is that I’m not running away from any of that. I’m only running away because I know I have a dream that I want to fulfill.

“I don’t know the full extent of the matter. However, what I can say is that I know that I did not steal anyone’s identity,” he said.
