Naira strengthens N3, trades at N1,541/$1 on official exchange

The naira closed the week with a slight gain of N3 against the US dollar on the official exchange on Friday.

Data from the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM) shows that
The local currency was trading at N1,541/$1, lower than the N1,544/$1 traded at the official window on Thursday.

The naira strengthened N2 against the dollar in the parallel section of the forex market to trade at N1,663/$1 against N1,665/$1 the previous day.

However, the naira weakened by N5 against the British pound to N2.225/£1, the same as the previous N2.220\£1.

The Canadian dollar traded flat at N1.280|CA$1.

The Naira also strengthened N5 against the Euro to trade at ₦1,830/€1 against ₦1,835/€1 the previous day.
