The Abuja Federal High Court has approved bail for Isaac Bristol, the whistleblower linked to the PIDOMNigeria account on X.
Judge Emeka Nwite set bail at N5 million, requiring Bristol to post one surety of equivalent value. This decision was made following a motion filed by Deji Adeyanju, who heads Bristol’s legal team.
The motion is a formal request for the court to take specific action regarding the Bristol case. Justice Nwite made the decision after considering the arguments and evidence presented by Adeyanju’s team.

In addition to bail, the court mandated that Bristol must surrender his passport to the court. The guarantor must be domiciled in Abuja and submit a wealth declaration, along with proof of three years’ tax clearance and two passport size photographs.
Bristol has been detained at the Kuje Correctional Center since September 11, facing charges of alleged treason, mobilizing support for “excessive coercion” of government action through #EndBadGovernance protests, false accusations of money laundering against President Bola Tinubu, and unlawfully obtaining and disseminating classified documents against Official Secrets Act of 1962.
