The father of 9-year-old Nigerian Destiny Kosiso, who made headlines with her astonishing record of 97 goals in 22 games for Barcelona under-9s, says he has two other children at the same club, reports OwnGoalNigeria.com .
Destiny’s scoring ability has made him very famous within the Spanish giant’s youth team, as he is among the top scorers in the history of their system.
He scored 20 goals in a tournament that Barcelona won against the best teams in Spain and he is already seen in the halls of the club as the next in line to follow in the footsteps of Lamine Yamal.
His father, a Nigerian who played football for third-division club Montanesa, revealed that, in addition to Destiny, his other two children, David and Divine, are also in Barcelona’s youth ranks, but he believes that Destiny appears to be the more talented.
“By the grace of God I have three children with Barcelona. Destiny is well known for its track record at the level where others passed and didn’t have as much of an impact. The three are doing it, but for me Destiny is a little better at this level,” stated the Spanish Sport team.
Destiny’s older brother David, who is 14, has played for the club’s Benjamin C since 2018 and is the oldest of the trio. He has already made the leap to 11-a-side football and, after a previous wobble, he has found his way.
All three are forward players who have demonstrated their scoring ability at various levels for Barcelona, famous for its culture of incorporating players from its youth system into its first first team.
