Otubanjo Yusuf on the goal when Pyunik FC falls into Ararat-Armenia

Pyunik FC suffered a disappointing setback in the Premier League of Armenia 2024/2025, since they lost 2-1 at home against Ararat-Armenia.

Despite a determined effort and a goal from the Nigerian striker Otubanjo Yusuf, the hosts could not ensure any point of the match.

Ararat-Armenia took an early advantage, capitalizing defensive lapses to break the dead point in the first half.

Pyunik responded well, with Yusuf demonstrating his attacker skill by scoring a well -taken goal to bring his side level.

However, visitors remained resistant and recovered their advantage with a decisive strike of the second half.

Despite Pyunik’s late pressure, Ararat-Armenia clung to ensuring the three points, giving Pyunik a frustrating defeat at home. The loss is a blow to the Pyunik campaign, since they seek to stay competitive in the Liga race.

The team will now have the objective of recovering quickly while preparing for their next match, while Ararat-Armenia celebrates an important victory.
