2026 WCQ: Osimhen has to experience playing in the World Cup -omeruo

Nigeria International Kenneth Omeruo said that a player like Victor Osimhen must experience playing in the World Cup.

Osimhen helped the Super Eagles recover their campaign after obtaining an orthopedic device in the 2-0 victory against Rwanda.

It was the first victory of the team in the qualifiers that took them to fourth place in six points.

The Galatasaray striker lost playing in the Qatar 2022 World Cup after they lost to Ghana’s black stars in goals out.

Talking before Zimababwe’s clash on Tuesday, Omeruo who played in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups said in Brila FM: “Only a few players in the Super Eagles have been in the World Cup, they understand the incredible importance and atmosphere.

“For a player like Victor Osimhen he has to be in the World Cup, he has to experience the World Cup. I have talked to Osimhen Amdnhe knows how important the game is against Zimbabwe.

“The players do not go there (against Zimbabwe) to joke and I think they will get six points of the two games.”
