Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has provided an update on Erling Haaland after the striker limped off following a brace in Saturday’s 3-2 win against Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium.
The Norwegian star was hit on the foot late in the match and appeared to be in trouble as he left the field. While waiting for the results of the medical evaluations, Maresca remains hopeful that the problem is minor.

“We’ll see. I asked him and he said he was fine, so hopefully it’s nothing serious,” Maresca said.
The victory made Maresca the first manager in Premier League history to win his first seven games, keeping City at the top of the table with a 100% start to the campaign.
However, the Italian coach revealed that Haaland was not the only casualty, as a wave of players suffered late knocks.

“Unfortunately, in 10 minutes we had four or five players—Matheus [Nunes]Kova [Mateo Kovacic]Erling, Antonio [Semenyo]and unique [O’Reilly] too, but they are already inside and we will see,” he said.
Manchester City continue to show defiance on the pitch amid the club’s ongoing crisis following their guilty verdict for breaching the Premier League’s financial rules.
