Adeleke relaxes the curfew in the communities in war – Blueprint Newspapers Limited

The governor of the state of Osun, Ademola Adeleke, ordered the immediate relaxation of the 24-hour curfew in Ifon, Ilobu and Erin-Osun.

In a statement by his spokesman, Olawale Rasheed also reduced the curfew to a 17 -hour curfew.

The new restriction, says the declaration, will now take place from 14 to 7 per day, starting from Friday 28 March 2025.

The declaration confirmed that the decision was made to alleviate the difficulties faced by the residents while maintaining safety in the communities concerned.

Governor Adeleke recognized the reduction of hostilities but expressed concern about the news of another murder in the area.

β€œThe Governor has directed the relaxation of the curfew to allow residents to meet urgent needs while security operations continue to prevent further violence.

“We will not tolerate further violence. Anyone who has found inciting unrest will face the complete consequences of the law,” he warned.

The governor confirmed that the police had made an arrest in relation to the latest violence and urged the security agencies to remain vigilant, ensuring that the law and the order were maintained.

He also directed the response agency to state emergencies to intensify rescue efforts for displaced residents, reaffirming the commitment of his administration towards their well -being.

“The security agents, including the police and military personnel, were instructed to support their 24 -hour surveillance to prevent any rebirth of violence,” added the note.
