The House of Representatives on Saturday condemned the murder of 16 travelers by angry hordes in Uromi, Esan North East, the Edo state government.
Spokesman for the House of Representatives, Akin Rotimi, in a statement in Abuja, said that such a terrible action was a major violation of human rights and the rule of law.
He said the Parliament recognized the direction of the President of the Tinubu Bola, and the Governor of the State Edo, Monday Okpebholo to the security agency to conduct an urgent investigation of the incident.
Rotimi urged law enforcers to lure the perpetrators and demand them.
The spokesman praised the security agent for their fast and timely intervention, which caused the rescue of the survivors and arrests of several suspects.

Some people suspected of being a hunter were intercepted by members of the local judges because they were suspected that they were kidnappers in the Uromi community in the North Esan Regional Government in the state and were killed on Thursday.
“It is very disturbing that in our country, fellow citizens can experience such heinous violence, especially when our faith tradition teaches us to respect the sanctity of every human life,” the spokesman quoted speakers of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, as said in that statement.
