Ex-NYSC DG, Tsiga, regained freedom 55 days after kidnapping

Former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig, -Gen Maharazu Tsiga (RETD), has regained freedom from Bandit.

A family member of the former NYSC head, Suleiman Tsiga night confirmed the news to journalists on Wednesday in Katsina.

He said Tsiga was released on Wednesday and received medical attention in a secret location in the state.

EX-NYSC DG was kidnapped with a number of people who were not determined at his residence in Tsiga, the Bakori regional government area in the state of Katsina on February 6.

The kidnappers reportedly demanded the N250 million for their release but then reduced to the N50 million.

However, the victim’s relatives did not reveal if the ransom paid before he was released.
