The excitement builds for the launch of Ilulu books while Igbo Quiz kicks off in Mbaise

Everything is set for the long -awaited launch of the book Iloluu, entitled “I Lulu Na Akpaalaokwu Igbo”, which took place on Monday 21 April 2025. The event will be held at the Podium of Ahiara, Ahiara Technical School, in front of the Catholic Church of St. Brigid, Ekera, from 12:00.

As part of the activities lined up for the launch of the book, the Greater Mbaise Development Forum (GMDF) has announced that the IGBO Quiz competition for secondary schools in the three Mbaise LGA – about Mbaise, Ahiazu Mbaise and Ezinihitte – will begin tomorrow, Friday 11 April 2025.

Eighteen secondary schools, six for each LGA, have been carefully selected to participate in the competition, which will take place in two phases.

Phase two (Grand Final)
The final phase of the competition will take place during the book launch ceremony on April 21, at the Ahiara Technical School. The prizes will be awarded to exceptional participants.

President of the launch planning committee, Barr. Ra Onyeulor (Ph.D), urged all members of the great Mbaise Development Forum and the public in general to participate by participating in the quiz events and the main launch ceremony.

“This event is a courageous step in promoting the IGBO language and preserving our cultural identity in Mbaise. We encourage everyone to support this noble cause,” he said.

The launch of Iloluu’s book should be a historical and culturally enriching meeting that will show the literary and intellectual vitality of the Mbaise region.
