Senator Kingbe urges the end of the murders, happy with Christians on Easter

The senator who represents the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Hajiya Ireti Heebah Kingibe, has prolonged warm congratulations to Christians, in particular its members, on the occasion of Easter, while condemning the ongoing violence that afflicts Nigeria.

In a declaration issued through his special assistant for the media, Kennedy Mbel, the senator expressed hope that the celebration of the resurrection of Christ would have inaugurated “abundant joy, love and peace” throughout the country.

Senator Kingibe expressed a strong condemnation of the incessant murders at national level, exhorting government authorities at all levels to take decisive and legitimate actions to further stop the spreading of blood.

“The incessant loss of life is unacceptable and we must do everything within the law to restore peace,” he said.

As he praised Nigeria’s security agencies for their efforts in the fight against insecurity, the legislator asked for intensified measures to face the crisis.

He also offered prayers for driving and divine protection for the security forces while working to safeguard the nation from “evil attackers”.

Wishing all the Nigerians a memorable Easter, Senator Kingbe reiterated his commitment to promote peace and unity in the FCT and beyond.
