LEAGUE 2026: Lagos Entertainment Association games and awards begin today

The highly anticipated Lagos Entertainment Association Games and Awards (LEAGA) 2026 kicks off today, Tuesday 22 September 2026, bringing together stakeholders from the sports and entertainment industry for five days of competition, networking and recognition.

The event, tagged Lagos Sporttainment Festival with the new desire to create a “Lagos lifestyle blend of sports and entertainment”, will take place from 22 to 26 September 2026, with activities taking place at different venues in Lagos.

Organized by Studio 18 Hub and Francosh Group with the support of the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Sports Commission, LEAGA 2026 is designed to promote interaction and unity among professionals in the entertainment and sports sectors.

The Games feature a wide range of sporting events, including football, basketball, tennis, table tennis, athletics, checkers, tug of war, ayo olopon, sack racing, arm wrestling, snooker, scrabble and ludo.

The athletics program will include the 100, 200, 4×100 and 4×100 medley relay, adding a competitive track and field dimension to the five-day event.

Several organizations from Nigeria’s entertainment, media and creative sectors are participating in the Games. They include Complete Sports, Dance Centre, NTDA, Deejays Association of Nigeria, Actors Guild of Nigeria, PMAN, Musicians Union of Nigeria, NANTA, Kogond, FAMAN, Citizens 97.3FM, Tamajan, Pulse.ng, Star FM and Brila Media, among others.

The event also lists Salonpas, Pocari Sweat, Golden Penny, Mutual Aids Specialist (Insurance), Fellon BDC, Hazrat Homes, CWAY Foods, Lingzhi tea among its partners, with Verdant Zeal featured as a participating organisation.

The main venues of the LEAGUE 2026 include Yabatech Sports Centre, Yaba; Studio 18 Hub, estate no. 18 Atunrase, Gbagada; and Rowe Park Centre, off Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba, Lagos.

Beyond sporting competitions, LEAGA 2026 is expected to provide an avenue for sports and entertainment professionals to build relationships, showcase their talents and celebrate achievements in their respective fields.

With competition across multiple sporting disciplines and the participation of leading entertainment and media organisations, the 2026 Lagos Entertainment Association Games and Awards begin today in Lagos.
