Nigerians have expressed concern over the incident that occurred on Monday where hundreds of people in the state canoeing in pairs into muddy water puddles for bathing and drinking in it after the local population claimed the pool gave birth to the footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad and had the ability to cure all types of diseases.
According to the report, the residents were told about the “footsteps of the Prophet Muhammad” bravely written on the pool land located in Hotoron Arwa, a suburbs on the outskirts of Kano, and in response, residents rushed to the pond for drinking and bathing in dirty water.
Residents who spoke with reporters who visited the scene, said the pool had become a daily pilgrimage, attracting people from afar and close, many of them suffered from strange diseases and believed that water holds a magical healing power.
In a video captured at the scene of the “Miracle Pool”, Men, Women, and Children are Seen Struggling for Access to the Muddy Pool of Water While Some Are Scooping the Dirty Water Into Plastic Bottles, While Others Drink It With Cupped Hands, and Many More Pour It Heads In Ritualistic BATHES, just as others are like rolling in the water, with some practice and prostrating and rubbing the water on different parts of their bodies.
